Thanks mate, yeah - you can use it in an aquarium. As the jar lids are plastic you can melt holes for pipe and flow. I use this basic model for all my aquatic set-ups. Cheers, Phil

Phillip you should be left in a lab to your own accord! That's genius, i'n new to the Axolotl world and am encountering problems as far a the filter goes. Is there a way this could used in an aquarium also?? Or would you not recommend this?
