Bark chips are a natural, biodegradable substrate. Harvested from sustainable commercial forests throughout the UK and Europe. Ideal for species that require higher humidity due to its moisture retaining properties.
Ensure the habitat is clean before use. Spread the bark across the bottom of the vivarium, terrarium or tub. Minimum layer of (2.5cm/1”) and dampen until the required humidity level is reached. Do not allow substrate to become saturated. If you are using a heat mat consult the manufacturer's instructions on substrate depth. Spot clean daily, replace monthly (more frequently if soiled).
