What do Birds Nest Snake Plants look like?

This is a stemless succulent perennial with sword-like leaves. The leaves are often marbled with a leathery feel and are evergreen. This plant can grow tall, up to 1.5 metres so is ideal for arboreal terrariums.

Where are Birds Nest Snake Plants from?

Native to tropical West Africa from Nigeria to the Congo.

How to care for Birds Nest Snake Plants

These plants are non-demanding and low maintenance. They can survive in a fairly dry environment and be kept in full sun, but are also able to adapt to low light levels. They require sandy, well drained substrate which should be allowed to dry out completely before watering.

They can be fed using a terrarium safe biofertiliser such as Superworm Frass. Use a full spectrum plant growth LED to aid colour and growth.
