What is the Coleus Silk Plant?

A natural looking silk plant bush, based on the leaf shape and red and green colours of Coleus. This plant has poseable wire stems so can be positioned to fit anywhere, is easy to clean and is suitable for woodland, tropical or arid vivarium settings.

This plant can be placed anywhere inside your enclosure, offering security and providing environmental enrichment for your exotic pet. Can also be used in conjunction with live plants in shady or drier areas of the enclosure where live plants don’t fare well.

How to use the Coleus Silk Plant

  1. Carefully position each stem to the desired shape and straighten the leaves. They may look creased after unpacking, but will settle once positioned.
  2. Place within the terrarium or vivarium, taking care to avoid direct heat from bulbs or mats.
  3. The plant can be placed directly on the ground, or push the main stem into a piece of cork bark or other decoration.
  4. Can be secured using adhesive hooks or suckers to add foliage higher within the enclosure.
