Great for more arid or rock-scaped enclosures and edible (as part of a varied diet) for reptiles such as Tortoises and Bearded Dragons. Assorted colours.
These are a small, slow-growing succulent which resemble Aloe Vera plants. They can grow solitary or form a large cluster which can grow to around 30cm in diameter, and up to 30cm tall. The star shaped evergreen leaves, similar to cacti, retain water and are often variegated and covered in white dots or bands.
Native to semi-desert areas in Southern Africa.
These plants are hardy and will thrive in hot, arid conditions. Water every 2-3 weeks around the base of the plant, taking care not to saturate the soil. Plant in well drained substrate in full sunlight outdoors, or under full spectrum plant growth LED lighting in a vivarium.
They can be planted in Tortoise Tables and in grassland or more arid vivariums scattered with rocks. These are edible for all reptiles, though care must be taken to avoid excessive consumption as this plant can have a laxative effect.
Please note: Live plants will naturally vary in size and all sizes are approximate. Photos displaying multiple different colours are an example of the variety we stock, we will send random colours based upon availability.
