These decorative cups are from the Brazil Nut Tree, Brazil nuts grow within these pods. They are highly textured, extremely hard wood and round in shape, looking like a cross between cork bark and a coconut. Perfect for naturalistic terrarium and vivarium setups.
Ourico Pods are perfect in either an arid or tropical setting and are ideal for use in naturalistic and Bio-active terrariums. They will hold water, allowing it to slowly leach into the surrounding substrates. This slow release of the water is perfect for aiding humidity levels. They make great decorative pieces within any enclosure; they also make excellent hides and create environmental enrichment by encouraging natural hunting and foraging behaviours in a variety of species. They can also be used in aquariums, they break down very slowly underwater, adding beneficial tannins and offering shelter.
